Dreams….. or…. the alternative explanation didn’t hit Shade until a day or so later when he was in the shower - a place he did his best thinking. (more…)
Author’s Note:
Well, its been a long time since my last update. A lot of real life things have been happening…and, too, I was stuck on my Mystics. I never should have attempted the 10 kid Impossible want. Most of the kids will be townie-ized, I’m afraid, even though my initial intention had been to play them prosperity-style. (Never mind that I’ve never tried to play a prosperity neighborhood!) LOL Sunny can just forget the 20 grandkids. She’ll get her lifetime want of 6 grandbabies, and that’s IT.
I found, at least for myself, that 10 children was just too many to get to “know”. So while I personally love Brandon very much (and hoped to do more with the “mystery”), gameplay and the 10 kid blitz (as I called it in my head) was a case of where gameplay and storyline conflicted. But I’ll do my best to reconcile the two.
In another note, I *am* attempting to keep score, but I’m not terribly anal over it. (If that makes sense.) and, too, future “from the author” notes shouldn’t be QUITE so long. (more…)
Mystic Family: Gen 1 : college years continued
Author’s note: Aw, wow, this is so exciting to get so many comments! Actually, by the point I had Brandon date ‘Sunny’ (and I keep wanting to call her Brandi, the resemblance is so close in my mind!)… I was more than 1/2 leaning with him to date/marry Celeste. But on the date with Sunny, I was able to see her aspiration….. family. Just like Brandi. Part of me groaned, ‘because I remember doing the 10kid want the first time around, but it also led me in that “it was meant to be” frame of mind too. Then Brandon did something in-game that sealed his own fate, as far as I was concerned…. (more on that later in the post) (more…)
Mystic Family: Gen 1 college years
Author’s note: oh, thank you for all the comments! (I’m such a comment junkie!)
I went more quickly through the college years with this Brandon, because honestly I think the college years drag. But two things happened to zing things up quite a bit - the appearance of the cheerleader was one.

Author’s note: I have started, restarted, and quit about a dozen legacies since the original Mystics died on me in a harddrive crash. Brandon had started off as a generic sorta guy, but over the course of writing him, I’d fallen in love with him and Brandi….and then their kids and grandkids. (I think I got to gen 4 or 5 before the great crash.) I tried creating other families, since the chances of recreating what had been was slim to none, but still the family called to me.
and so….. (more…)
I know this isn’t Sims related, but what the heck. (more…)
For fun, I decided to create my real life family in the Sims. (more…)
Author’s note: thanks for all the compliments! I’ll try and go back and fill in more descriptions, but descriptions aren’t my strong suit. I’m much better at dialogue and character development. I’m going to start each new ’section’ of the story with the last line from the previous text in itallics, then move on to the new additions. (more…)
Author’s note: This is an original fiction piece and definitely a work in progress. A friend of mine is talking about starting a Dungeons and Dragon’s campaign in an orignal world he’s creating, and this character may end up there.
This is very rough/work in progress. Sometimes when I write I need to skip past details to get to the meat of the story — which is why you may see brackets with (insert name here) or (insert monetary amount here). I do intend to fill in those details later, once I figure out what I want to put there.
Enough talk — on with the story!
